Gavin had just turned eighteen and graduated from high school. He had a huge decision weighing heavy on him. What was he going to do with his future? There was only one problem. Gavin couldn't stand software development and wanted no part of the company. Gavin stood up and looked down the table at all of the people he loved. There were five families, and between them, they owned seven houses on one stretch of a Hawaiian beach. It was their last night there, and Gavin knew he needed the support of everyone around him when he told his parents what he'd chosen to do with his life. He instantly saw concern cross his mom's face, but he had to do it. There was no going back.
"I'm joining the service," he said.
It didn't take long for his father to get to his feet and all of the chatter to fill the empty space between them.
"I'm joining too," Gavin's best friend Jack announced.
By the time everyone calmed down and both of their families accepted their decisions, Gavin was beginning to feel a little better about things. There was only one person that wasn't going to let it go that easily. That person was Gracie. Gavin was taking her brother, and that was not okay.
When Jack told Gracie he wanted her to write to Gavin each time she wrote to him, she was not happy. Gracie was going to write him, but she wasn't going to make it easy.
Little did Gracie and Gavin know that those letters were going to change their lives forever.

Saved By Love is a pleasant surprise. Cummin does a good job of exploring and allowing the intricacies of family dynamics. The families play well into the story, and the weekly dinners were a nice refresher. It was the simple touches that made the family politics work. The fact that the mother knew what the kids were up to while the rest of the family members were clueless is one of these little details that matter the most.Gracie is strong, and the relationship between her and father is sweet. She was very close to her brother, but the author did not really develop that before he went away. The sibling relationship was explained but not explored as it needed to be.
The ending was different. The way the reveal was done was sweet and a bit comical.
As for what did not work, the topics of the abuse of alcohol and PTSD were lightly touched. The author did not really resolve any issues. While love can help ease them, it is not a one stop solution. The author missed the mark with these topics. The theme of the book was light and sweet. But a dark moment or two makes the light even brighter.

This is a sweet and wonderful romance series. You will love following the lives and loves of this extended family. The characters are awesome.
Gavin is one of this extended family. When he was only thirteen his father already had plans for him to take over the business in about five years. Jack is his best friend and another of this extended family. He is two years older then Gavin. One day while all the families are vacationing together Gavin admits to Jack he does not want to take over his family's business. He wants to join the service. Jack tells him then in five years of he still wants to do that Jack will join to!.
Give years later Gavin has not changed his mind so the two tell the families. It does not go well especially with Jack's younger sister Gracie!.Gracie blames Gavin with her brothers decision. Before they leave for training Jack makes Gracie promised to write to Gavin to. They soon become penpals. The more Gracie and Gavin wrote each other the closer they become. Soon they are falling in love with each other. But Gracie is Jack's little sister thus she is off limits!. Only Gavin can not help how he feels. Then the guys are deployed over seas and something terrible happens that could year the families apart!.
You will so love this exciting, sweet, Touching and sad romance!. This is a must read book and series!.

It starts with Gavin and Gracie's story along with Jack
Gavin and Jack are best friends. When Gavin graduates, they decide to join the military. Gracie sends letters and boxes to both Jack and Gavin. At first she sends them to Gavin because Jack asked her to but then she does it because she wants to. Feelings are developing between them. I don't think I have laughed so much at their letters and emails with all of the bantering between them. But then tragedy strikes, beware you need tissues.
When Gavin gets back home, it is a long road for healing for both him and Gracie. Even though Sharon doesn't actually use the words, it is PTSD. So come along and read how these 2 get to their HEA. Laughter, tears, hugs, intense sex and of course like the title says, LOVE.
I received and arc of this book for an honest review and received nothing else as a compensation. Love this new series and can't wait to see what and who is next in line.
Well that was an emotional read. So worth the tears. Loved the ending. It was the happily ever after I was looking for.
Well all the F words and explicit sex couldn't save this story. The characters were either angry or down, Very immature.
What a good book and a very emotional book.. So happy that these two could put their lives together with one another by their sides.
There were some tears shedding for this story. Emotions are running high for the heartache that the mc’s face when a great loss is lost and a tragic event not only break one but the other. Great friends Jack and Gavin will face war but Jack tells is baby sister if she writes to him she must write to Gavin. Before the letters her heart secretly belonged to anouther friend in their group of non blooded family members kids. Letters and packages will change Gracie and Gavin feelings for the other towards a more romantic feelings until a spoken promise will change Gavin to be harden, scarred and broken while Gracie is more hurt from what Gavin didnt then the loss of her beloved brother. The ending was a bit rushed in my opinion and it’s starts with a piece of cheesecake that her ex heart throb takes for himself then all the secrets Gavin keeps at bay will be out in the open. Nothing else it’s a HFN kind of ending.
