I read this book many years ago, and have adopted the principles of right thinking in my life since that time. I believe the majority of problems extant in our world today would be resolved without strife if all of us would think instead of being ruled by emotions. I'm glad the book is now available in format.
I am finding the author to be very insightful on the subject of thinking. He has a way of explaining our thought processes that helped me see why many things have happened in my life.
Although written decades upon decades ago, I find very little modern self help writing get to excel Marden's writing style and understanding of human excellence. For perspective, I have read literally hundreds of self help books. Marden, Napoleon Hill, and Emerson are far and away my favorites.
It still amazes me, the dawn of self help books in the early 1900's, and the wonderful writers that bless us with their books 100 years later. Marden is one of them, a writer that writes so logically, clearly and just bleeds great advice. I have enjoyed a few of his other books and this one is great too. You simply can't go wrong absorbing this wisdom. It's a relatively short book but it's one you can revisit year after year. Well worth your time.
Are you happy with your life, and the way your life is going? You CAN change your life, by changing the way you view things; what you value; how you use your God-given human intelligence and the mental energies that you have, but are not using properly. Americans waste too much time viewing entertainment, and not enough time deep-thinking. This book will help you re-focus to what's really important in this life.
Deliberately direct your thoughts and change your life. The aforesaid is the theme of this book.
I tried it and I have changed my life favorably in the recent past. I am convinced of the book's teaching.
This book is a gem and I feel it is my duty to recommend this to everyone.
The best way to absorb the wisdom of this book is to highlight important passages and deliberately re-read the book a couple of times. You'll soon see what I mean.
Such a great read. While some of the thoughts in the book are currently outdated, so many more of them were so ahead of the author's time. Very thought-provoking.
